Responsibilities:

  • Review of the literature, 
  • Framework Sample definition, 
  • Qualitative information collection, 
  • Quantitative questionnaire survey design, 
  • Questionnaire survey implementation, 
  • Analysis, 
  • Write-up in form of Report/thesis as direct output for the project.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in carrying out qualitative and quantitative surveys and subsequent analysis 
  • Background in agricultural or fisheries economics, economics, development studies or similar, preferably with knowledge and employment record in East African or Kenyan aquaculture 
  • Kiswahili speaking an advantage 
  • Good English reporting and other writing skills 
  • Person must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and comfortable interacting with range of stakeholders
