Meds & Food for Kids is offering a fellowship to work with the team in Cap-Haitian, Haiti, to improve nutrition and food security by making therapeutic food and improving agricultural practices.

The job, which begins this fall, requires a 12-month commitment.  

Duties include the development and implementation of agriculture research and extension programs aimed to improve the quantity and quality of peanuts in MFK’s supply chain, while improving farmer livelihoods.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree (research-driven master’s degree preferred) in an agricultural science (such as crop and soil science), agricultural or development economics, or related field. English proficiency is a must, along with some French and/or Haitian Creole.

A monthly stipend is provided to cover food and personal necessities. Shared transportation and housing it provided to all fellows, as well as five weeks of vacation (two weeks at Christmas/New Years) and two round-trip tickets per year.
