Dr. Julie Lively at Louisiana State University is seeking a highly self-motivated graduate student to develop a premium shrimp product that will be directly marketed to restaurants and the public. Responsibilities will include testing post-harvest protocols, on board commercial vessel testing, and direct interactions with commercial fishermen. The successful applicant would begin Fall of 2017 and coursework would begin Spring 2018.

Qualifications:

  • BS in biology, marine science, fisheries, food science or related field with minimum GPA of 3.0 and GRE score of 300
  • If selected, applicant must apply and be admitted to Louisiana State University
