The AquaFish Innovation Lab works with partners and collaborators to share expertise, engage stakeholders, and leverage funds. AquaFish develops and maintains linkages among universities and government ministries, departments of agriculture, and the private sector around the world.
AquaFish directly funds US Universities who, in turn, work with Host Country institutions to advance our mission. The five current AquaFish Project US Universities are:
Current partners and collaborators are listed below. Partners include US and Host Country institutions that receive direct funding through subcontracts and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) under either the Leader Award or Associate Awards. Entities that receive financial support via travel reimbursement, personal services agreements, or other shorter-term funding arrangements are designated as collaborating institutions.

The mission of AquaFish is to enrich livelihoods and promote health by cultivating international multidisciplinary partnerships that advance science, research, education, and outreach in aquatic resources. Bringing together resources from US and Host Country institutions, AquaFish strives to strengthen the capacities of its participating institutions, to increase the efficiency of aquaculture and improve fisheries management in environmentally and socially acceptable ways, and to disseminate research results to a broad audience.
