Sustainable  Aquaculture  and  Fisheries  for  a  Secure  Future


Notice: 
As of April 1, 2013, the Aquaculture & Fisheries Collaborative Research Support Program (AquaFish CRSP) will operate under a new name, "The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Aquaculture & Fisheries" (AquaFish Innovation Lab) as required by USAID. AquaFish Phase I work (conducted under AquaFish CRSP) ran from award inception in 2006 through March 31, 2013. AquaFish Phase II work (being conducted under the AquaFish Innovation Lab) will run from April 1, 2013, through March 29, 2018.  The website is currently being updated to reflect these changes, and Phase II content is being developed.

Annual Reports

Implementation Plans

Implementation plans outline investigations funded by the AquaFish CRSP. They include regional (that is, site-specific) and cross-cutting (that is, with relevance to several or all sites) research and research support activities.

Aquanews is the quarterly newsletter of the AquaFish CRSP. It informs CRSP participants and others of program activities that are not technical in nature. It contains news stories and information on project activities, meetings, travel, and site visits by CRSP participants.

AquaFish CRSP Outreach and Promotional Materials

The management office participates in campus events at Oregon State University that provide a platform to share educational and informational materials about the research, training, and outreach conducted by the AquaFish CRSP.

Associate Awards

Since inception AquaFish CRSP has received two Associate Awards from USAID for work in Africa. In 2007 USAID Mali Mission Awarded AquaFish $750,000 for work in Mali, targeting three aquaculture and fisheries development themes. In 2010, another Associate Award of $1.1 million under the Strategic Investment in Rapid Technology Dissemination (SIRTD) Program was received for technology adoption involving best management of inputs for fish production to provide economic, environmental, and agronomic efficiency of aquaculture in sub-Saharan Africa.
