AquaFish Innovation Lab partner, Dr. Steve Amisah, was recently appointed Provost of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana. Dr. Amisah has dedicated over 20 years of his career to KNUST, where he has served as the Dean of Faculty of Renewable Resources, professor, and mentor. In 2011, Dr. Amisah was honored with the KNUST Meritorious Award for Excellent Academic Performance and Best Research in Science. As a long-time partner of the AquaFish Innovation Lab, Dr. Amisah has served a valuable role in AquaFish Innovation Lab research projects in Ghana. Over the years, his AquaFish Innovation Lab research projects have investigated the use of mobile phone-based technologies in aquaculture, the contribution of aquaculture to household food security in Ghana and Tanzania, and tilapia fish value chains in Ghana, among others.
